Time spent in outdoor spaces improves physical, social, spiritual, and emotional health. The RivCoParks Library Pass program is a collaboration between RivCoParks and local libraries aimed at promoting literacy, outdoor recreation, and community engagement. Through this program, individuals and families gain access to a variety of benefits, including free admission to RivCoParks sites, Nature Center, and trails.
The “Nature Gap” is where communities have historically been left out of these spaces due to a combination of racial and economic disparities. RivCoParks is committed to reducing the “Nature Gap” by introducing the RivCoParks Library Pass. The Library Pass Program aims to provide greater inclusion and access to the outdoors by removing one of the economic barriers faced by various communities.
